Simple Moong Salad: 3 Recipes

Ingredients

Moong Sprouts Saute

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 large cup moong sprouts
  • Half cup finely chopped onions
  • Seasoning: Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Red chilies 1-2
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Chana dal 1 tsp
  • Urad dal 1 tsp
  • Jeera seeds ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Cilantro
  • Salt to taste

Moong Sprouts Saute with Shredded Coconut

  • Follow the same steps as above but also add shredded coconut along with moong sprouts.

Moong Sprout/Carrot/Cilantro Salad

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 large cup Moong sprouts 150 grams
  • 1 large cup shredded carrots 150 grams
  • Chopped Cilantro 1/3 cup
  • Lemon juice 20-30 ml
  • Chopped shredded green chili
  • Mango ginger 2 inches
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • When mustard seeds splutter, add chana dal and urad dal.
  • When they are light brown, add jeera seeds and curry leaves.
  • Now add chopped onions and salt. Sauté until they are light brown and transparent.
  • Add the moong sprouts and sauté them together.
  • After about 5-7 minutes, the dish is ready. Add cilantro when it is hot.
  • Squeeze lemon juice.
  • Serve this delicious healthy snack by itself.
  • Moong Sprouts Saute with Shredded Coconut
  • Follow the same steps as above, but also add shredded coconut along with moong sprouts.
  • Mix all of these ingredients and enjoy this healthy salad!
