Dates/Nuts Modak

Ingredients

  • Pitted dates 1 cup – ground in blender
  • Dryroasted and coarse ground cashews, almonds, pistachios, dry coconut, and pumpkin seeds
  • Modak mould small size
  • Dry roasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Filling: Coarse blend dry roasted cashews, almonds, pistachios, pumpkin seeds and coconut. Add to this, blended dates and make in to a dough.
  • Next put the above nuts/dates blend w in to the small modak mold and pack tightly against the walls. Take the modak out and roll them in dry roasted white sesame seeds Now they are ready for Ganesh Chaturthi !
  • They taste divine!

Notes

When/What to serve with:
After dinner dessert.
Tips:
You can mix the white sesame seeds in to the nuts/dates mix or you can roll the modak on to it to coat the outside.
