Almond Burfi/Paan Modaks

Ingredients

  • Mazipan roll = One
  • Paan leaves = 1-2
  • Ghee to grease hands moulds
  • Gulkand Rose-petals
  • Mukhvas with no betel nuts
  • Modak mould small size
  • Green Gel food coloring

Instructions

  • Take the marzipan roll out of the foil and cut into 2 pieces. Put 2-4 drops of green gel food coloring and mix well. Cut the paan leaves in to small pieces and mix with the marzipan dough.
  • Next put the dough in to the small modak mold and pack tightly against the walls. Then make a hole from the bottom with your little finger. Fill with the Guikand and put the mukhvas of dhaniya seeds and saunf. And close the bottom with the overhanging dough. Remove from the mould carefully. The delicious the paan moadaks are ready for Ganesh Chaturthi !

Tips:
You can make the almond burfi dough or make with cashew/sugar as well. I wanted to save time, so I went with the readymade almond burfi dough called marzipan that is freely available in bakery stores or in Amazon.
